Rector's Retirement
Having attained the age of 67 the Rector has very reluctantly decided it is time to retire and will do so on the 30th April. Most of the clergy in this Deanery are 60+ and, with the increasing cost of funding full time priests the staffing levels are having to be reviewed - hence the 'Deanery Vision Group' - see above.
The important thing is that St Thomas' Church ( and St Peter's Church ), both continue to function effectively as independent parish churches. It will require determination to ensure that the Church, and our School, continue to serve the parish.
The introduction of toilets will at last give the opportunity to extend and develop this Church as a venue for all sorts of other activities and events, as well as the beautiful worship. With vision, hard work, and faith, the future here can be very exciting.

Conversion of St Paul 9.30am EUCHARIST
